Khasim and his mom need airline tickets to fly from Dominca to St. Louis, Missouri

We have a new update. We have found a sponsoring hospital in the U.S that is willing to take Khasim. The hospital specializes in treating Guillain Barre Sydrome. You can help by donating frequent flyer miles for this flight for Khasim and his mom. We are looking for a hospital to sponsor Khasim & get emergency medical Visa and you can help
Hi friend & family,
We are looking for a hospitial in the U.S. now to sponsor Khasim. You can join us by calling your local hospital to ask them if they will host or sponsor Khasim to getting treatment. We need this in order to get Khasim an emergency medical Visa. The U.S. hospital will be able to initiate this process if they agree to host or sponsor him. So, help us out to get him here. As of a few days ago, he no longer needs medical transport, so he can fly on a plane with his mom. Now, we just need to get him the emergency medical visa by getting a hospital to host or sponsor him. You can help us a lot by making phone calls to get this done. Ideally, it would be a hospital that treats Guillain Barre Syndrome, or a childrens hospital. When you call the hospital, just ask the hospital if they treat Guillan Barre Syndrome and if they would be willing to sponsor/host Khasim and that he lives in Dominica, he is able to fly on a plane, and he has Guillian Barre and needs further treatment, and he does not have insurance, and he is 15 years old. We can get him to the hospital through a flight.

It has been six weeks since Khasim has been paralyzed and we have not been making the progress that we expected to make through donations. A lot of people are thinking that they need to donate 30, 40, 50 or hundreds of dollars, but if everyone would donate at least 5 dollars it will make a big difference. We do appreciate it if you can donate more. We believe that in about 5 days we will have enough money to get Khasim treated and give him back the normal life of a 15 year old.

New report , Khasim is not doing well and getting weaker

We received some new information about Khasim today that he is not doing well and gettting weaker and sleeping a lot. We really need to get him moved and treated as soon as possible. Please help us do this. Please!!!

Progress
Dear friends,
Monday Sept the 13th has made it 1 month since my son Khasim has been paralyzed. He is very strong and have a very positive attitude. After weeks of phone calls I have a final total which is exactly 21,110 Euro to get Khasim to Martinique to be treated and that's including the Flight back and fort from Dominica to Martinique. 21,110 Euro is $27,608 u.s Dollars. So far we have raise $3122, and are very thankful for all your prayers and donations. My goal is to do everything possible to have my son be able to work again very soon.
I really want to give god thanks for giving me the strenght to deal with this. But this to shall pass. You know you never think some things will happen to you, but when they do it gives you a hole new outlook on life. You learn to appreciate your kids and friends and family even more. You really understand how fast things can change and how you deal with it makes all the difference.

WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE
Dear Friends,
Monday September 13th has made it 1 month since my son Khasim has been paralyzed in the Island of
Dominica. He is very strong and he has a very positive attitude. After weeks and hours of phone calls I finally have an estimate and I am working to get Khasim treated as soon as possible. The total cost to get him to Martinique from Dominica is 21,110 Euro and in u.s Dollars it's $27,608 and that does include the treatment. He will be staying in Martinique for 10 days. So far we have raise $2498. We want to thank you all for your prayers and your generous donations and I will keep every one up 2 date.
We never think this could happen to us but that's called LIFE and when things like this happens it all comes down to how you look at it. I really want to thank GOD for giving me the strength with this and I know this to shall pass. I know that WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

NEW UPDATE
First of all I want to sincerely thank all of you for your donations. So far Khasim has gotten the first treatment which has stopped the progression of the disease. He's still unable to walk or move his lower body. The doctors say that he still needs to be medically flown to Martinique or the US to have further test done and treatment which includes therapy so that he can recover. We are thanking you for your donations. Our short term goal is to raise $20,000 which will allow him to go to Martinique and be treated. Our long term goal is to raise another $30,000 to pay medical bills. So far we have raised $975. No donation is to small.

Thank You For All Your Prayers
It's been almost 2 weeks since my son Khasim has been in the hospital in Dominica without any real treatment, I am raising money so he can be medically flown to Martinique or the United States. Based on what I have learned about this disease I know he should be treated before 3 weeks so he can fully recover as fast as possible. The longer it takes for him to be treated the worse it is. Last week he received a 2 day supply of Immune Booster. Now he need to get his blood clean so they can remove the bacteria and then therapy so he can walk again.
Dominica does not have what it takes to do that so I am asking all my friends and family for your support. I have contacted a few companies and they want about $30,000 and above just to fly him to the hospital and that does not include the treatment. The treatment cost about another $35,000 and up. I am asking for your support financially but also in resourses. If any one knows of any foundation or charity who can help me to get him here please contact me as soon as possible on my blog or email. I KNOW HE IS IN GOD'S HANDS BUT I AM ALSO DOING MY PART.

We Are Asking For Your Help
Hi. My name is Peter Burton. The reason I am writing this blog is because my son needs your help.
Last week my son Khasim was living a typical 15-year-old life, playing sports, hanging out with friends, and getting ready to go back to school, until a serious disease took over his body.
Last Saturday, August 14th he was hanging out with his friends when he started to feel a tingling sensation in his legs. He called his mom to pick him up because it was hard for him to walk. Him and his mom thought that maybe he was playing too hard and that all he needed was some rest. When he woke the next morning he was paralyzed! He was rushed to the hospital and had many test ran on him. The doctors have diagnosed him with Guillain-Barre Syndrome.

My son lives with his mom on the beautiful Caribbean island Dominica. He is now lying in a bed in the hospital not being treated because they don’t have the resources that Khasim needs to be treated. He has to be transported by air from the hospital in Dominica to a hospital on the island of Martinique to be treated. This is a very expensive process. Not only do we have to pay to get him to get to Martinique the hospital there won’t start treatment until they have proof of payment.

Last week my son Khasim was living a typical 15-year-old life, playing sports, hanging out with friends, and getting ready to go back to school, until a serious disease took over his body.
Last Saturday, August 14th he was hanging out with his friends when he started to feel a tingling sensation in his legs. He called his mom to pick him up because it was hard for him to walk. Him and his mom thought that maybe he was playing too hard and that all he needed was some rest. When he woke the next morning he was paralyzed! He was rushed to the hospital and had many test ran on him. The doctors have diagnosed him with Guillain-Barre Syndrome.
